ADVOCACY SERVICES

At the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana, our advocates provide compassionate, trauma-informed support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and family violence.

By bringing multiple services together under one roof, we help survivors navigate difficult situations with safety, support, and guidance every step of the way. Our goal is to empower survivors, connect them with critical resources, and help families move toward long-term healing and stability.

Click to Exit if in Danger

Safety Planning & Lethality Assessments

Our advocates are specially trained in safety planning and lethality assessments to help survivors identify risks, develop personalized safety strategies, and safely navigate dangerous situations. Support is tailored to each survivor’s unique circumstances and immediate needs.

Crisis Intervention & Survivor Support

We provide immediate emotional support and crisis intervention services for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or abuse. Survivors are met with compassion, understanding, and advocacy in a safe and supportive environment.

Emergency Shelter & Resource Assistance

Our advocates assist survivors with locating emergency shelter, transportation, food, clothing, hygiene items, and other essential resources to help individuals and families safely leave dangerous situations and begin rebuilding their lives.

Civil Legal Advocacy & Court Support

Advocates help survivors navigate the legal process by providing assistance with protective orders, court accompaniment, legal referrals, clerical support, and connections to civil legal services related to custody, divorce, and child support matters.

Children & Family Advocacy

We support children and families impacted by violence through advocacy, trauma-informed care, educational support, and connections to counseling and youth services that promote healing and emotional well-being. We're always looking for new partners to collaborate with on projects and events. If your organization shares our values and mission, let's work together to make a positive impact.

Spread the WordCommunity Education & Outreach

The Family Justice Center works closely with schools, churches, civic organizations, law enforcement, and community partners to provide education, training, and awareness about domestic violence, healthy relationships, trauma, and survivor resources throughout Central Louisiana.
