Children who experience violence and trauma deserve a safe space to heal, grow, and feel supported. At the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana, our Children & Youth Services program provides compassionate, trauma-informed care designed to help children, teens, and families navigate difficult situations while building confidence, stability, and hope for the future.
Our team provides age-appropriate counseling and emotional support services that help children and teens process trauma, express emotions in healthy ways, and begin the healing journey in a safe and supportive environment.
We work with families to create personalized safety plans that prioritize the well-being and protection of children while helping caregivers navigate challenging and potentially dangerous situations.
Our educational support services help children and youth maintain stability and continue learning during times of crisis by connecting families with resources, guidance, and advocacy within the school system.
Our advocates walk alongside families by providing support, guidance, and connections to community resources that promote safety, healing, and long-term stability for both children and caregivers.
Through prevention and education efforts, we help children and teens develop healthy communication skills, positive coping strategies, and a better understanding of safe and respectful relationships.
