Donations to the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana are tax deductible using the receipt.

The Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana accepts gently used clothing and household item donations to help support survivors and families transitioning toward safety and stability. Donations may be dropped off at the Center, preferably on Tuesdays between 9am and 4pm, or donated on behalf of the Family Justice Center at participating community partners including New to You, St. Nicholas Thrift Shop, and Helping Hands. These partnerships allow survivors to shop for clothing and essential household items using vouchers provided through our Center, helping families regain comfort, dignity, and independence during difficult times.

The Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana keeps non-perishable food items and comfort supplies on hand to support survivors and their children during difficult and overwhelming moments. Whether providing snacks for children, meals for survivors spending hours navigating protective orders and advocacy services, or pantry staples for families transitioning toward safety and stability, these donations make a meaningful impact. We also rely heavily on community support to keep bottled water, coffee, cups, creamer, and other hospitality items stocked so every person who walks through our doors is met with comfort, compassion, and care.
This donation goes toward the purchase of a Ring Doorbell Camera or a locksmith to come out and change the locks and reinforce the doors. It may also pay for a hotel stay and food when a victim and their children are actively fleeing a dangerous situation. These safety measures provide a sense of security and add another barrier between a victim and their abuser.
This donation goes toward the purchase of clothing and essential needs items for our clients and their families. Oftentimes victims arrive at the center with only the clothes on their back and without the financial means to purchase any additional items for themselves or their families. We put together care packages for them including clothing items, self-care items, and basic household cleaning supplies.
This donation goes toward providing clients and their families with gift packages or gift baskets during the holidays. Whether it is Easter or Christmas, we want these children to experience the joy that comes with opening gifts and celebrating with their families.
This donation goes toward providing clients with a workbook, notebook, and other educational reading materials when they participate in individual and group counseling sessions. These help with healing and ways to overcome the trauma and abuse they experienced through domestic violence.
