The Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana provides civil legal services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and family violence in a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment. Our legal team and advocates help survivors understand their rights, navigate the court system, and access critical legal protections that promote safety, stability, and long-term healing. Services are designed to reduce barriers, increase access to justice, and empower survivors as they move forward.
Our team assists survivors with obtaining protective orders and injunctive relief to help increase safety and provide legal protection from ongoing abuse, threats, harassment, or stalking. We help guide survivors through the filing process and court proceedings with compassion and support.
We provide support and legal advocacy related to divorce proceedings and other family law matters that may arise as a result of domestic violence or abuse. Our goal is to help survivors navigate these complex situations while prioritizing safety and stability for families.
Our civil legal services include assistance with custody matters, visitation concerns, and child support orders to help families establish safe and stable arrangements that support the well-being of children.
Navigating the legal system can feel overwhelming. Our advocates and legal professionals help survivors understand court procedures, complete documentation, prepare for hearings, and connect with additional legal resources when needed.
We assist survivors with important legal paperwork and documentation related to protective orders, custody filings, court forms, and other civil legal matters to help reduce barriers and improve access to justice.
Our services are centered around survivor empowerment and trauma-informed care. We work closely with survivors to ensure they feel supported, informed, and respected throughout the legal process while helping connect them with counseling, advocacy, and additional community resources.
