 Our Advocates can assist survivors in locating emergency shelter and transportation to the following safe houses:

 We work directly and offer collaborative services with the following law enforcement agencies: 

 The Family Justice Center children’s program offers a multitude of services for children of families experiencing domestic and family violence. We strive to provide trauma-informed services that allow children and families to navigate the often lengthy healing process.

Some of the services we provide through our children’s program include:

• Age appropriate education about domestic and family violence
• Age appropriate education about healthy relationships
• Child care while adult services are being provided
• Advocacy on behalf of children and their families

 Individual mental health counseling is available for any Family Justice Center client who has experienced intimate partner violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse or stalking. Support groups are also available for those desiring a group setting. 

Family Justice Center advocates are trained in many areas of domestic violence including: safety planning, lethality assessments, the dynamics of domestic violence, and the effects of trauma. They provide services such as an Emergency Shelter, Domestic Violence Counseling, Civil Legal Advocacy and Clerical Assistance, Children Services, and Educational Outreach to area schools. 

 Civil legal services provided by the Family Justice Center of Central Louisiana include:

• Obtaining Order of Protections
• Divorce Decrees
• Custody Decrees
• Child Support Orders
• Injunctive Relief
• Contempt of Court Orders

 The Family Justice Center is always looking for community outreach opportunities.  Our staff would love to speak with your civic clubs, churches, schools and other organizations no matter what day or time, including weekends!
